The project’s timeline is divided into two phases: Phase I (spring term) encompasses a prototype which includes research and web navigation and dramaturgical operational dynamics; Phase II (post spring term) takes on the previous phase’s research and prototyped discoveries to build towards a first volume that will include collaborators, such as writers, visual artists, and poets, whose works give wombofspace its first body. Looking towards a future where each volume of the journal becomes a new piece of the zine-world, ultimately this world becomes inhabited by the different creations of each reader. Pieces from previous volumes would have the option to be assembled with future ones. These assemblages reach out to create a connection with the Other (the journal, the pieces from others’ imaginations, a world outside their own), where the reader progressively dreams of alternate futures and paths through the poetics of relation and cross-cultural imaginaries in the wombofspace.
